Spanish

Clarity has been attending weekly Spanish lessons for the last year and continues to enjoy going to her "class".  Last year we covered basic Spanish vocabulary (counting, colors, body parts, clothing) and this year we're reviewing that material in new ways and starting to work on select verbs and more vocabulary (foods, locations, relatives, transportation).  Each week we take the material covered in class and use it in our morning circle time in some way.  Clarity loves playing any kind of game, and especially matching type games, so it's pretty easy to print out pictures into cards and make a game.  We also read several Spanish books each morning to include some comprehension work.  Next semester I hope to start including some written Spanish work.  She attends the class with two friends, so it's nice that she gets to work in a small group.
